Today marks the celebration of the fate Goddess’s Moirai. Three goddesses of fate and destiny for any mortal or divine being
The Three Sisters
- Clotho (“Spinner”) — spun the thread of life at birth, beginning a person’s existence.
- Lachesis (“Apportioner”) — measured the thread’s length, determining how much time a life would have.
- Atropos (“Unbending”) — cut the thread at death, ending a life.
as we worship them on this day we put offerings of jade, white and sliver objects spindle and thread, books or scrolls, white flowers, candles with colors of white or sliver, water especially moon charged water. offerings can be tied to life transitions, such as naming ceremonies, funerals, or personal reflections on destiny.
