Beltane

April 30th – May 1st marks the days celebrated as Beltane…

Beltane welcomes in the halfway to summer energy bringing in may flowers and many more blossoming plants, it’s a time for birth, life, renewal… during the time of Beltane the veils between the living and the dead become thinned just like around the time of Samhain…

Some of Beltane’s traditions areย

  • The May Pole
  • Bonfire
  • Flower crowns
  • Candle Magic

Beltane celebrates The May Queen and The Green Man.

The Green man is often confused as The Horned God but they are not the same.. instead The Green Man represents life bringing properties of nature.. all things greenery. He is more of an archetype then being known for a God;

At his core, the Green Man is about renewal and transformation. His leafy face is not just a decoration; it embodies:

  • ๐ŸŒฑ Rebirth โ€“ As trees bud anew each spring, so does life emerge from apparent death.

  • ๐Ÿƒ Fertility โ€“ He represents the procreative forces of the land.

  • ๐ŸŒฟ Natureโ€™s Wildness โ€“ Unpredictable, lush, and free from human control.

  • ๐Ÿ‚ Mortality and Decay โ€“ Just as green leaves fall in autumn, life cycles onward.
